Dear Warren,
I want to thank you for being so generous and thoughtful when you donated some of your Ludo Claessens to me in order for me to restart my racing hobby again after twenty odd years.
I have had pigeons for over fifty years and raced during the 1950's, 1970's and 1980's in Pennsylvania and Idaho.
I bred and showed Non Flown racing homers and Baldhead American show rollers during the intermediate years except for military service and University.
I am very impressed with the birds bloodlines, feather quality, eyes and particularly the body. I look forward to testing them this fall.
Again thank you for your generosity.

Lester

Mr. Lester Jones is far too modest. When I was a kid in the 1960's....they spoke reverently of Mister Jones in that "other club" in Lancaster, Pa. In those good old days, Mr. Jones knew my mentor Earl Ressel. So we are going back many decades of pigeon knowledge.

If memory serves me correctly, Lester has served various offices on both the club and combine level over the decades, including the office of President. So when the opportunity came to help him get back into active competition, many of us in the York Racing Pigeon Club, wanted to help rebuild a powerhouse competitor and keep YRPC at the very top of the United Pigeon Combine in south central Pennsylvania and Maryland.

As Lew Burns said, we want to build giants ! We are not here to compete with Jr. Members. When you win an award at the YRPC, then it mean's something. This combine flies OVER the Blue Ridge Mountains ! Now these boys don't fool around. This is the Combine of Fred Smeltzer and 720 fame. So when this tiny club has almost half of the top birds in the "Top Ten", then you know it means something.

So, this year, we will have a "Breeders Cup" and so for us at SFL USA, we wanted this young man to have an opportunity to fly and compete with even the Big Boys !! Best of luck Mr. Jones....

UPDATE

Dear Warren, thanks for all the help I received from you and Lew Burns in 06, your birds did very well considering I started late and after a hiatus of twenty odd years things went well. I was especially impressed with the President line of Janssens.
I would like to obtain a kit of young birds in February of 07 relating to these birds.
Thanks for your consideration in this matter.

Best Regards,
Lester
