Grand Opening - 9 Points Racing Loft 

            After two years of research and development, we are proud to announce the opening of 9 Points Racing Loft in Canton, Georgia. This is the culmination of two years of research in finding the ideal stock to fit into the long term goals of the management team. To add to the excitement of this occasion, it comes with great pride, that we announce the affiliation of Dan and Lori Detweiler from 9 Points with Mr. Warren Smith of Smith Family Loft in York, Pennsylvania. This relationship had its roots in the initial search for the right stock to begin a new racing loft. What started out as a simple search for a winning family, developed, over the course of many months and years, into a lasting friendship and bond of trust that was completely unexpected. It is through this collaborative effort that we hope to continue to develop what we feel is one of the premiere American strains of racing pigeons.           

            So it was that on November 14th, 2007 the initial relocation of breeding stock took place and a new affiliation began. This is one affiliation that we feel is going to be world beaters in the years to come. Only time will tell for sure but if this initial shipment is any indication, some very special things are going to happen in the deep south over the next few years. Like Alan Jackson says in his award winning song, “Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee, it gets hotter than a hoochy coochy.” We feel that although we are a few miles from the Chattahoochee, it’s gonna get plenty hot here in the near future!

            Thank you Warren for the great start as well as the great friendship and mentorship. I hope we can bring to you, through us, as much excitement and success as you so richly deserve.
